Some friendships come and go, others span across time and stay with us forever.⠀
⠀
Friendships are unique relationships because unlike family relationships, we choose to enter into them. And unlike other voluntary bonds, such as marriages and romantic relationships, they lack a formal structure. ⠀
⠀
You wouldn’t go months without speaking with or seeing your significant other (hopefully), but you might go that long without contacting a friend.⠀
⠀
Still, survey upon survey upon survey shows how important people’s friends are to their happiness. ⠀
⠀
Friendship is a relationship with no strings attached except the ones you choose to tie, one that’s just about being there, as best as you can. This is what makes true friendship so valuable. ⠀
⠀
1. come and go - exist or be present for a limited time;⠀
2. span across time - to last for a particular period of time⠀
3. your significant other - your romantic partner (husband, boyfriend. wife, girlfriend) ⠀
4. with no strings attached - with no special conditions or restrictions⠀

This summer is almost over. As always, it dashed away in the blink of an eye leaving behind nice memories and cool pictures on the phone.⠀
⠀
This was the summer of family reunion and meeting new people. I finally could hug and kiss my mom and sister who I hadn’t seen for two years.⠀
⠀
I met my niece for the first time. I met some friends of friends who are my friends now. I met some wonderful people while working on a new project.⠀
⠀
I enjoyed lots of socializing, good food and fine wine, so I am totally geared up and ready to step into up and coming fall.⠀

COMPARE TO vs COMPARE WITH

Compare to and compare with are not interchangeable. It means we can not replace one with another in sentences.
📌Compare to is used when things are being likened to each other, when we want to say that things are similar to each other in a way:
- He compared her skin to ivory.
📌 Compare with is used when things are being considered from the point of view of both similarities and differences:
- Tourists find London hotels expensive compared with those of other European capitals.

📌When compare is used without an object, WITH should always be used:
-His direction compares with early Hitchcock.

◆ In American English compared to and comparable to are frequently used where with is appropriate:.
- Compared to my brother, I'm poor. - It's not comparable to the home-made version.

These uses are coming into British English.
