IS THIS LOVE? 💔
There are things that are impossible to explain…
You can only feel them.

He’s eighty-proof, bitter, with pepper and spice.
He gives me hangovers, migraines, and fits of rage.
He flew in from Jupiter, fragile, cold-bitten,
and torn, kicked my heart right out of my chest, and slumped on the edge of the ash-burned sofa.

His fingers are nervous, thin. Scrapes and bandages. He laughs too loud.
I hate him, I’m addicted, I’m going through withdrawal.
He’s become my hell, my personal devil.
We’re tangled, stitched together, bound.

God, help me hold back, not to strangle him or feed him poison.
He’d probably be delighted if I ended up in prison because of him.

I call him a bastard, a scoundrel, a damn fool.
And like a trained dog, I obey his command: “Heel.”
He smiles — that’s love.

I tell him to go to hell and wherever else he belongs.
I’ll kill him, and then I’ll hang myself.
But when he comes home beaten and drunk,
I want to tear the whole world apart, starting with those who dared to look his way.
I choke on the pain and the bitter tenderness, taking off his tattered, torn shirt.

He smiles — that’s love..
And I carry him to the bathroom in silence.

🦋 And somehow, this poem feels like it belongs to the world of El Laberinto de las Mariposas.

A story of passion, obsession, danger… and everything that exists somewhere between them.

Coming this autumn.📽🍂

🇹🇷 Turkish Evening in St. Petersburg

So, we keep going… or rather, keep wandering through the city. 😉
Tell me, how could I possibly have made it to Turkey without even leaving St. Petersburg? 🤦‍♀️😂
If I don’t go to Istanbul, Istanbul comes to me. 🤷‍♀️😄
And once again — another “chance encounter”.
Aren’t there a few too many coincidences by now? 🤔😉
We stumbled upon a real Turkish café — completely authentic, with its own special atmosphere, music… and, of course, the main event: THE FOOD! 😋
I won’t even try to list the names of everything we tasted, because honestly… everything was delicious.
Unique flavors, wonderful spices, and that unmistakable taste of Turkish cuisine.

The only thing to regret is that you simply can’t try everything at once. 🤷‍♀️
It was such a delicious evening. ❤️
And, of course, we couldn’t go home without a box of Turkish sweets.
Because… how could we? 😉
Now I’m back home, enjoying aromatic coffee with a little taste of the East. ☕️🇹🇷

One thing is already decided: the first place I’ll visit when I return to St. Petersburg will be @galata.spb 😉🇹🇷
I simply have to come back for more!

☕️🍩 A Taste of St. Petersburg

Good morning, everyone! ☀️

These delicious treats from the banks of the Neva are just perfect for breakfast. ☕️🍩
So… business is business, but you simply have to try the local specialties, right? 😉
Raspberry venzel and… pyshki.
Although, to be fair, our donuts are just as good. 🤷‍♀️😋

There’s an old-fashioned pyshki shop in the city where people start lining up early in the morning — and the line stretches on like a snake’s tail. 😂
One pyshka costs just 20 rubles. They’re small and disappear so quickly in your mouth that you simply lose count of how many you’ve eaten… 🙈
Absolutely delicious — and, surprisingly, even without coffee!

But the venzel… 😉
Oh, that one is seriously incredible.
Crispy, flaky pastry, pistachio cream and lots of fresh raspberries…
It’s a little piece of heaven! 😋❤️

And that’s how, wandering through the streets of St. Petersburg, we stumbled upon these delicious little surprises.

St. Petersburg knows how to surprise you — even when you’re simply out taking care of business. 😉❤️But that was only the beginning… 😉
St. Petersburg had a few more surprises waiting for us.
