Today’s shave was nothing short of exceptional, bridging the gap between old-world Scottish charm and legendary vintage engineering.

The heart of the shave was this stunning MMGP “Malt Whisky” set. The scent is pure gentleman—rich, warm notes of malt whisky and oak that transport you straight to an ancient distillery. The Tallow-based cream lathers effortlessly into a thick, creamy cushion, providing incredible slickness for the star of the show...

Featured prominently is a true gentleman’s classic: the vintage Gillette Super Adjustable. Many know this beauty by its nickname, the “Black Beauty”, due to its sleek, black anodized aluminum handle. Produced between 1968 and 1988, it represents one of Gillette’s last great adjustable double-edge razors. It’s an engineering marvel, offering nine dial settings to customize the blade gap—today, it was gliding beautifully on setting 7. Whether you have the long-handled (109mm) version for balance or the shorter (84mm) handle, it provides a smooth, intuitive shave.

Paired with the “Westman” brush, which looks sharp and performs beautifully, and finished with the refreshing aftershave splash, it was the perfect start to the day.

Shave of the night (17.08.2026):
A sea adventure with Neptune and Athena 🔱💦

Today’s shave is imbued with the spirit of ancient Greek myths and the power of the sea element. The star of the day is the luxurious “Neptune” set from @bbs_shaving_soaps (Hermes 2.0 base).

It invigorates, energizes, and truly transports you to the ocean shore, where Poseidon himself reigns. The performance of the Hermes 2.0 base is top‑notch:
✨ Lather: It lathers instantly, producing a dense, creamy lather like Greek yogurt.
滑 Glide: Simply fantastic! The razor glides like butter.
🛡️ Protection: Excellent, no irritation even in problem areas.
💧 Post‑shave: The skin after shaving is soft and moisturized; the Neptune lotion perfectly completes the ritual, leaving a subtle trail of fragrance.

To go with this divine soap, I chose the Ares razor from the Greek master @lambda_razors . This is a true art object made of polished stainless steel. The handle with deep flutes resembles an ancient column (scroll through the carousel, there’s a macro), and the head is decorated with a concise letter “Λ”. Shaving with it is an aesthetic pleasure. Ares v.2.0 provides a very clean, effective, yet incredibly gentle and controlled shave. The perfect tandem!

And to complete the composition, there’s the @yaqibrush lather with a synthetic knot. Amazing Yaqi Nebula Shaving Brush! 28 mm of happy!
